1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, Client Center, text messaging, email, or any other electronic communication provided by City Insurance and Financial Services Inc, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Services Provided
City Insurance and Financial Services Inc provides insurance information, quotes, and related services. All quotes are estimates only and subject to verification and approval by the insurance carrier.
3. No Guarantee of Coverage
Submitting a quote request or communicating with us by website, email, text, voicemail, or social media does not bind, alter, or cancel coverage. Coverage is only effective after required premium has been paid and written confirmation of coverage has been issued by the carrier.
4. Electronic Communication Limitations
Text and email communications are provided for convenience only. Sensitive, time-sensitive, or urgent matters must be directed by phone at 763-582-1888 or in person. We cannot guarantee the timely receipt of electronic messages and are not responsible for delays, errors, or transmission failures.
6. Payments
Premium payments are not considered received until confirmed by the insurance carrier or finance company. Submitting payment information through our website, email, text, or voicemail does not guarantee acceptance of payment or continuation of coverage.
7. Certificates & Proof of Insurance
Certificates of Insurance are issued for informational purposes only and do not amend, extend, or alter coverage. Clients are responsible for verifying that their coverage meets contractual or legal requirements.
8. Errors & Omissions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy of the information provided. However, City Insurance and Financial Services Inc is not responsible for errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Clients must verify all policy documents, forms, and certificates and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.
9. Confidentiality & Data Security
Electronic communications (including email, text, and portal submissions) may not be fully secure. By using these services, you accept this risk. We recommend sensitive information be shared through secure channels whenever possible.
10. No Professional Advice
Information provided by City Insurance and Financial Services Inc is for general informational purposes only. It should not be considered legal, tax, financial, or medical advice. Clients should consult with appropriate licensed professionals for advice specific to their situation.
11. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use our website, Client Center, text, email, or other services.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. For clients located outside Minnesota, any disputes will also be governed by Minnesota law, unless otherwise required by state insurance regulations.
13. Third-Party Services
Some services, such as quotes, account access, and document delivery, are provided through EZLynx and other third parties. When using these services, you are also subject to their Terms of Use and Privacy Policies.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Digital Signatures & Electronic Delivery
We may provide policy documents, forms, and notices electronically. By using our services, you consent to receive communications electronically unless you specifically request paper copies. Electronic signatures (eSign) will be considered legally binding.
16. Automated Services & AI Tools
City Insurance and Financial Services Inc may use automation, artificial intelligence, or third-party platforms (such as EZLynx, Client Center, or future service tools) to process quotes, intake forms, or communications. These tools are intended to enhance service but do not replace licensed agent review.
17. Service Fees & Non-Refundable Charges
Certain services, such as business registration assistance, workers’ compensation audit support, or other add-on services, may involve additional fees. All such fees are disclosed at the time of purchase and are non-refundable once the service is provided.
18. Consent to Text & Email Communication
By providing your phone number or email, you consent to receive communications from City Insurance and Financial Services Inc via call, text, or email. Standard carrier rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time, but operational/service-related messages cannot be opted out of.
19. Record Retention
We may retain copies of communications, applications, and documents submitted electronically for compliance and regulatory purposes. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own copies of documents for personal records.
20. Indemnification
By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless City Insurance and Financial Services Inc and its agents against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from misuse of certificates, failure to disclose material changes, or reliance on incomplete information provided by you.
21. Force Majeure
City Insurance and Financial Services Inc is not responsible for delays or failures in service due to events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, cyberattacks, internet disruptions, government actions, or labor disputes.
22. Website & Portal Availability
Access to our website, Client Center, or third-party systems may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. City Insurance and Financial Services Inc does not guarantee uninterrupted access but will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.
23. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, text, graphics, and digital materials, is the property of City Insurance and Financial Services Inc and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without prior written permission.
24. Compliance with Laws
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their use of services provided by City Insurance and Financial Services Inc complies with all applicable state and federal insurance laws, including providing accurate and truthful information.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any referenced privacy policies or third-party service agreements, represent the entire agreement between City Insurance and Financial Services Inc and the client.
